We take some time to talk to Hannah Smith, our Customer Care Manager. Hannah grew up in Derby and is now happily living in Nottingham. Hannah has been with Future Health Biobank for three years and loves advising parents on the processes involved with our services.
What are your core responsibilities at Future Health Biobank?
My job is to manage the customer care team to ensure that we continuously offer great service to all of our customers both new and old! On a daily basis, I interact very closely with customers to ensure that they have a full understanding of our services and take pride in answering all customer queries.
What is your favourite part of the job?
Funnily enough, my favourite part of the job is at the end when we call and give the sample results to parents. We get to hear people's exciting stories of how their children came into this world, not always when and where they were expected! I love to see photos of the children we have stored for and feel like we have almost shared in their special day a little.
If you could describe Future Health Biobank in 3 words what would they be?
Professional, experienced and reliable. We have been around for over 14 years now and are hugely recognised and respected in our field. We have stored for over 75,000 families worldwide and many of those have come back to us time and time again to store for their other children.
In your spare time, what do you enjoy doing?
I am currently renovating my first house and have, as a result, learnt far too much about DIY and have somehow managed to collect a vast amount of work tools! I love to cook and enjoy entertaining friends, though this doesn’t necessarily mix well with building work! I love seeing my family especially my beautiful nephew who I try to visit every chance I get.
