We take some time to talk to our Business Development Manager; Kaylee Lawrenson. Originally from Derby, Kaylee now lives in Nottingham with her husband. Kaylee is one of our longest standing members of the team and truly believes in spreading the word about the power of stem cell banking.
What are your core responsibilities at Future Health Biobank?
My core responsibility is to build strong relationships with members of the medical profession in order to promote awareness of this potentially lifesaving service. One of the key barriers in the UK is that the service isn’t well-known. It is my aim to try and educate as many people as possible, both those in the medical profession and the general population. I truly believe that every parent-to-be should have the opportunity to make a decision that is right for them and their family.
What is your favourite part of the job?
One of my favourite parts of the job is meeting new and different people and building relationships with members of the medical profession. For every new family that becomes aware of this service, I feel it to be a small personal victory; my dream is for every family in the UK, to be aware of the service and its potentially future possibilities.
If you could describe Future Health Biobank in 3 words what would they be?
Experienced, established, moral.
In your spare time, what do you enjoy doing?
I love a good movie and I like to cook. I like going out for meals and enjoy a good spa day, so basically anything that involves me eating or relaxing I like…..a lot!
