We take some time to talk to Hannah Smith, our Customer Care Manager who is originally from Coventry and is now living happily in Nottingham.
What is your job title: Customer Care Manager
What does your job at Future Health Biobank entail?
My job is to manage the customer care team to ensure we are offering great customer support. I also ensure that my team have continuous training to maintain a high level of relevant, up-to-date information.
What is your favourite part of the job?
My favourite part of the job is actually at the end of the service, when we give the sample results to the parents. We often get to hear exciting stories of how their children came into this world, not always when and where they were expected! I love to see photos of the children that we have stored for and feel like we have, in some small way, shared in their special day.
If you could describe Future Health Biobank in three words what would they be?
Professional, experienced and reliable. We have been around for over 13 years now and are hugely recognised and respected in our field. We have stored for over 65,000 families worldwide and many of those have come back to us time-and-time again to store for their other children.
When you’re not busy working at Future Health Biobank, what do you enjoy doing?
I am currently renovating my first house and have, as a result, learned far too much about building whilst collecting a vast amount of tools! I love to cook and enjoy entertaining friends, although this doesn’t necessarily mix well with building work! I love seeing my family especially my beautiful little nephew!
