Seni on teadlased saavutanud h\u00e4id tulemusi p\u00e4rilikke v\u00f5rkkestahaiguste (IRD), vanusega seotud kollat\u00e4hni degeneratsiooni, glaukoomi ja sarvkesta haiguste ravimisel.<\/p>\n<p>GSVM Meditsiinikolled\u017ei oftalmoloogia osakonnas kasutati nelja patsiendi raviks t\u00fcvirakke. K\u00f5ik neli olid j\u00e4\u00e4nud pimedaks sarvkesta kahjustuse t\u00f5ttu. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.indiatoday.in\/india\/story\/kanpur-gsvm-becomes-first-institute-to-cure-blindness-through-stem-cell-transplants-2332807-2023-02-10\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">N\u00e4gemise taastamiseks kasutati platsentast p\u00e4rit t\u00fcvirakke.<\/a><\/p>\n<p>See suur meditsiiniline l\u00e4bimurre vaegn\u00e4gijatele oli esimene omataoline Indias. Uuring oli nii edukas, et arstid taotlesid toetust t\u00e4iendavate raviasutuste loomiseks ja edasiste uuringute tegemiseks.<\/p>\n<h3><strong>K\u00f5igil neljal patsiendil n\u00e4gemine taastatud<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>Neljakuuline uurimisprojekt algas 2022. aastal Indias Kanpuris Ganesh Shankar Vidyarthi Memorial (GSVM) Meditsiinikolled\u017eis.<\/p>\n<p>Neli uuringus osalenud patsienti olid kaotanud n\u00e4gemise v\u00f5rkkesta kahjustuse ja kaasas\u00fcndinud haiguse t\u00f5ttu. \u00dchel patsientidest oli kaasas\u00fcndinud n\u00e4gemiskahjustus ja teisel ravimatu v\u00f5rkkesta haigus, mis oli p\u00f5hjustanud juba aastaid kestva n\u00e4gemiskaotuse.<\/p>\n<p>Protseduuril kasutati platsentast kogutud t\u00fcvirakke, mis siirdati kahjustunud v\u00f5rkkesta. Platsentast p\u00e4rit t\u00fcvirakud on &#8220;pluripotentsed&#8221; t\u00fcvirakud, millel on  v\u00f5ime areneda mistahes muud t\u00fc\u00fcpi rakkudeks kehas.<\/p>\n<p>Platsenta t\u00fcvirakud muudeti sarvkesta limbaalseteks ehk sarvkesta \u00fcmbritsevateks rakkudeks. Protsess kestis \u00fcks kuni neli kuud ning selle aja jooksul taastus n\u00e4gemine k\u00f5igil neljal patsiendil. Esines vaid \u00fcks v\u00e4ike k\u00f5rvaltoime, millest saadi kergesti jagu.<\/p>\n<p>GSVM Meditsiinikolled\u017ei oftalmoloogia osakonna juhataja prof Parvez Khan on alates 2022. aasta juulist eraldanud platsentast t\u00fcvirakke ja siirdanud neid kahjustunud v\u00f5rkkesta.<\/p>\n<p>Uurimist\u00f6\u00f6 \u00fcksikasjalik aruanne on saadetud India Meditsiiniuuringute N\u00f5ukogule (ICMR), et taotleda laiaulatuslikke uuringuid ja teenindada rohkem \u00fcmberkaudseid patsiente, kes k\u00fclastavad kliinikut n\u00e4gemisprobleemide t\u00f5ttu.<\/p>\n<h3><strong>N\u00e4gemiskaotuse t\u00fcvirakuteraapia tulevik<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>Mitmed meditsiinikeskused \u00fcle maailma on n\u00e4gemiskahjustuse raviks edukalt <a href=\"https:\/\/www.fightingblindness.ca\/resources\/stem-cell-therapy-for-vision-loss\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">kasutanud t\u00fcvirakuteraapiat.<\/a> T\u00fcvirakkude siirdamine n\u00e4gemise taastamiseks on aga kulukas ja vajab siiski suuremat uurimist\u00f6\u00f6d, enne kui see kinnitatakse standardravina.<\/p>\n<p>Prof Parvez Khan on lootusrikas ja arvab, et selline protseduur saab olema l\u00e4hitulevikus k\u00e4ttesaadav v\u00e4hem kui tuhande dollari eest patsiendi kohta.<\/p>\n<p>Kui t\u00fcvirakuteraapia kasutamine n\u00e4gemise kaotuse korral on endiselt arenev valdkond, siis Kanpure Meditsiinikolled\u017ei edu sillutab teed valdkonna tulevasele teadus- ja arendustegevusele.
