If the results are normal then this indicates that your baby is not displaying any of the three genetic abnormalities and so it is likely that they won’t be diagnosed with Down’s syndrome, Edwards’ syndrome or Patau’s syndrome. However, it is important to note that this test is 99.8% specific and so will offer you a reliable indication on the future health of your baby. If the results are positive then this indicates that your baby may have one of the three conditions that Vision identifies. Should a positive result be recorded then your healthcare professional will advise you on the different options available.
