Future Health releases stem cell sample to treat child with cerebral palsy
Published on: 18th September 2019A three-year-old girl has received treatment for cerebral palsy (CP), using her baby brother’s cord blood stem cells. The sample was taken from their mother’s umbilical cord at birth and stored with Future Health Biobank, at our Swiss storage facility.

After unsuccessful chemotherapy, her recovery now depends on finding a stem cell donor match. If a match is found, she will be the youngest person in the world to receive a stem cell transplant.
