Once your baby has been safely delivered the phlebotomist will start the collection process
The cord blood collection process
Step one
The phlebotomist will extract the blood from the umbilical cord
Step two
The collection bag will hold up to 150mls of the cord blood
Step three
The cord blood will then be safely stored in a secure container for delivery
Step four
The cord blood will be safely packaged within the collection kit
Step five
Simply call our customer care team to arrange collection of the kit
Step six
Your sample will be tested, processed and prepared for storage at our UK laboratory
